makes me think of Prison Song by SOAD (give it a listen if you haven’t heard it already)
YES! (or even not have a body at all. sometimes i would rather just exist as a collection of thoughts able to exert a certain amount of will on my environment. or just have a body that i can mold at will that requires no rest or sustenance, but functions as an inexhaustible vehicle for my consciousness.)I would literally give almost anything to have an interchangeable body. Like to make my chest smaller on some days, or drop my voice.
Wouldn’t that be perfect?
my grandparents are watching some old movie from the 70s
i just looked up and saw a man in shorts shorter and tighter than anything i’ve ever worn
oh fashion, how you’ve changed

after watching this my grandfather commented that it had “too much fighting”
i just stared and asked “how is it possible to have too much fighting?”
watched this with my grandparents today and was struck by his boyish lovelinessAdam Brody in Mr. & Mrs. Smith
It pains me to write this post but it’s a matter of life and death for a follower of mine. She is 17-year-old and living in an abusive situation. She has parents that won’t accept her Islamic apostasy, who hit her, who know she cuts herself but don’t care enough to get her help. She needs to get out of this situation and anything could help. If you’re in Toronto area and able to house her, or connect her to safe, cool people who can, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
there’s probably more than one, actually, but this person tags some of their posts with “agender” and “genderqueer” (two tags i track) and attacks genderqueer people specifically for being special snowflakes and hurting “actually transgender people”.
basically, they say that nature has created two genders, male and female, and anything else is just a “mistake”. no matter what a person feels, their brain is either male or female. (and, apparently, people talking about other genders are “playing God” and trying to change biology.)
they make some good points, too. i have to give them props for arguing stridently against gender stereotypes.
but a lot of what they say makes me…uncomfortable, to say the least. okay, so we’re in agreement that gender is not related to behavior, nor to physical sex. i assumed that all that was left was feeling something—but apparently they disagree, since this is part of their reply to an agender anon:
You, however, mean to say you did not develop a gender at all. This research does not support your little theory. You disregard scientific research, you ignore all the facts of human development, you say you don’t care if research points towards the development of gender in our brains, because lol you feel like you have no gender. And that is what I’m asking you to logically explain. You can’t do that, because it makes no sense. But hey lol, maybe you were born without white matter, that would explain it all! xD
Or maybe you’re right, it’s a psychological thing, meaning not a physical thing at all and it’s all in your head. There are other treatments for that.
so what, now we all have to get brain exams to see what gender we are? how the fuck does that make sense? and where’s the cutoff point between “male” and “female” brains? oh, and not feeling a gender means i have psychological issues and need treatment? wooooow. okay.
this person is very focused on science, which is cool because science is awesome! but they’re using science as an excuse to disregard identity, which is not cool. really not cool.

“What is a Sith? Over time, the beliefs have changed, but one constant has remained. The imposition of one’s will upon the Force, on the environment surrounding one, on the galaxy itself. There is no substance stronger than the will of the Sith. Not durasteel, not Mandalorian beskar, not the beliefs of the Jedi. Nothing.” – Star Wars Legacy #27, written by John Ostrander
