ooc; This panel will forever be the funniest to me because Mello is such a little shit that he has the mafia men holding the phone for him. Like, just imagine how that guy feels! One day, he’s snorting coke off a hooker’s ass and the next he’s demoted to resident phone-holder.
I mean, Near does too - Rester’s always got the phone to his ear.
I think they need to include the class ‘How To Hold a Phone 101’ on the Wammy roster.
What’s always struck me about this is what it says about the force of Mello’s personality. I mean, he’s…20? 21? He’s pretty, and dresses flamboyantly. He’s licking his fucking chocolate bar. You’d think that no one in the mafia would respect him, formidable intellect or no, but instead they’re almost like his servants. You can’t climb to the top on smarts alone. I think his combination of guts, charisma, and sheer insanity got him there.
